Reviews
"absolutely fantastic. It is unique and worth your time...I love this visual style...it hit me with nostalgia in a way that a lot of these...'nostalgic' games just don't do for me"
"I can't recommend it enough, it's a ton of fun...the level design, the bullet design, the balancing around the elements, the balancing around the power-ups, the amazing ship that is Amy, all that stuff is so good"
"Its emphasis on conflict between humanoid-sized opponents makes for a pleasingly different feel to many other shoot ’em ups out there, and the feeling of gathering allies to fight alongside you as you progress is consistently enjoyable and satisfying."
"combines excellent gameplay, an unexpected premise, terrific visuals, an exciting soundtrack, and with it a somber story about war and family into one 8-stage shmup game....a novel twist on the dynamics of humans and demons."
"everything is measured to the millimeter so that the experience is as satisfactory as possible....Iori Branford has graduated with a superb degree, unashamed, profound, intelligent, full of justice and feeling."
"as a first fully-realized shoot-em-up, this is a solid game and something that I can easily recommend to...enthusiast fans of the genre"
Artistic statement
Demonizer is my most personally meaningful work. Bringing together all that I love and believe in - exhilarating gameplay, charming fantasy characters, the ideal of peace and justice for all - Demonizer indulges a fantasy of changing hateful hearts and minds, and presents an ode to the outcast and oppressed youth fighting the cruelty and injustice of the old world.
